Best Soups in Chicago by Infatuation Chicago

Cooler weather calls for Ruby’s Pork Sinigang—proudly named one of the Best Soups in Chicago by Infatuation Chicago. This comforting Filipino classic features hearty bone-in cuts and tender slices of pork simmered in a tangy, tamarind-based broth that delivers depth and warmth in every spoonful. Guests may also choose alternative proteins such as chicken, beef, pompano fish, or shrimp. Generously filled with fresh vegetables including okra, spinach, string beans, and eggplant, our Sinigang is best enjoyed alongside steamed rice for a complete, satisfying meal.
Earlier this year, Infatuation Chicago
also recognized Ruby’s as one of the Best Filipino Restaurants in Chicago, highlighting standout dishes such as Kare-Kare, Dinuguan, and Crispy Pata. These acknowledgments reflect our continued commitment to preparing Filipino comfort food rooted in tradition and consistency. Each dish represents the flavors and techniques passed down through generations. Together, they showcase why Ruby’s remains a trusted destination for authentic Filipino cuisine in the city.
